23 Questions With...Penni

In your words explain a little about yourself, who are you?
I am a mom, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a nurse, a jewelry maker, a friend.  Born and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  I came to Wyoming four years ago when I married my husband.  I loathe lying and love loyalty. I think the greatest thing someone can do is love unconditionally.

Lets begin the 23 Questions with;

1.   Do you have any regrets?
Tough question.  This could be a very deep question.  Or, a very superficial question.  I think I'll choose to answer it superficially.  Last Labor Day Weekend I was swinging up-side-down on a monkey bar at a family reunion while trying to show off a "penny droop".  I have performed this particular trick dozens of times; BUT, always have had pants on.  This particular day, I had on shorts.  Not good.  My leg stuck to the bar.  I didn't clear it.   Instead of landing on my feet, I ended up doing a belly flop on the ground 9 feet below.  Broke a rib.  That was perhaps the most painful injury I've ever had!  Do I regret playing on the monkey bar at my age?  Hell, no!  Good for me!  I regret not wearing pants!

2.  What is your first memory?
When I was two years old I broke my leg on a swing set teeter-totter.  My foot got jammed between the ground and the metal foot pedal and it snapped my tibia and fibula.  It hurt!  I remember the pain!!!

3.  What is the stupidest thing you will ever admit to doing?
Marrying a pastor when I was 21.  I ask myself which was more stupid; merely marrying the idiot, or the fact that he was a pastor.  It's a close tie!  He did, however, lose his pastor's license within a couple of years of obtaining it; but, did remain and still continues to remain an idiot.  (fyi, I got unstupid--I'm not married to him anymore!!!)

4.  What is your favorite guilty pleasure?.
Bottle of wine, Beach, Bikini!    (If I'm home, the Bathtub will do—oh, minus the Bikini!!)

5.   What would your porn star name be?
I have absolutely no idea!!   Hmmmmm.   I have nothing!

6.   What is the hardest drug you have ever done?

Marijuana.

7, Are there any nude pictures of you in this world?
Yes.  I'm especially proud of a calendar I made for my husband a couple of years ago!

8, Do you prefer lights on or off during sex?
Candles, Baby!

9, What is the wildest thing that you have ever done?
While at a Foam Party in Mexico, and after a lot of tequila, my husband (my current one, not the idiot one!!) and I snuck up to the off limits balcony and apparently were showing too much PDA because the Mexican police came up and busted us.  Fortunately, they didn't kick us out and we joined everyone in the foam and danced the night away!!!

10.   What do you wear in bed?
Boy undies.

11.   How many items of jewelry do you wear on a daily bases?
Five earrings, plus my pierced tragus.  Three or four rings.  One or two bracelets and a necklace or choker.  I make jewelry, so I have to advertise!!!  I had my nose and belly button pierced but when I became a nurse a couple of years ago, had to take them out!

12.  Have you ever gone skinny dipping?
Absolutely.  Whenever I get the chance!  Love it!

13.  When you close your eyes and relax, where do you go?
See number 4.

14.  You can tell a lot about a person by the tittles of books on their bookshelves. What books do you have on your shelves?
Eat, Pray, Love; Fleeing Fundamentalism; Leaving the Fold, A guide for former fundamentalists and others leaving their religion; and, The Complete Metalsmith Guide.

15.  What music has changed your life? Or what do you listen to?
I LOVE music.  I hardly ever NOT have music playing. And I like it LOUD.  And I like to MOVE to it.   I've been listening to a lot of 60’s and 70’s rock lately on satellite.  But I also have CMT on a lot.  In my CD case right now I have Pink, The Beatles, Across the Universe Soundtrack, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Maroon 5,  The Eagles, Rhiana, Matchbox 20, Gray's Anatomy Soundtracks.  And I like making "Mix" CD's.  I have ones for dancing, one for making love, one for when I'm mad, one for when I need to relax, one for driving in the car and rolling down the windows, I could go on and on.

16.   If you could be in any profession, other than the one that you are in, what would it be?
No question.  An actress.  Absolutely.

17.  Tell me something about yourself that most do not know?
I'm a pretty open book.  There really isn't anything people don't know about me.  And if they don't know, they can ask….I'll probably tell them.

18.  How old were you when you lost your virginity?
18 years old.

19. What have you not done that you must do before you die?
Travel, travel, travel!  All over the world!

20.  Name someone that you admire and why?
Hmmmm.   No one comes to mind.  There are many people I admire for different reasons.  Many I know, have something I admire about them.  But there isn't one person who stands out that I esteem above others.   Perhaps in the past, because of too high of expectations, I have been let down; or, perhaps, my expectations aren't high enough.  Something to ponder…….

21.  When were you were invincible?
I have never felt invincible.  I hope I do someday.

22.   When did you realizes that you were not?
Constantly.

23.  The ancient Greeks believed that it was not what you accomplished in life, it was how you lived your live. When you die how would you like to be remembered?

I've heard it been said that people will not remember the words that you said but they will never forget the way that you made them feel.  I know this is I true as I reflect upon the people who have touched my life; negatively and positively.

When I am gone someday, I want people to remember the way I made them feel.  And my goal today and for every tomorrow that I am alive is to make those that I come in contact with to feel loved and accepted; by my demonstration, by my presence and by the way I live my life.  This is how I want to be remembered.
