Photography
Idea's and thoughts, both borrowed and created.
Photography
is a form of art. It lets the beholder experience something
new, or perhaps to rediscover something familiar. With my photography
I hope to inspire the beholder to change his state of mind.
Transform it from the mundane into a moment where beauty, understanding
and adventure are combined into one.
There
is really no brief definition of art, but we can say that all
the definitions offered over the centuries include some notion
of human agency, whether through manual skills, as in the art
of painting or photography, intellectual manipulation, as in
the art of public or personal expression, or as in the art of
conversation.
Since there are is so much involved with art maybe it would
be better to be involved in all it's forms and be a member of
a visual culture.
Art
is the product of conscious intention. It is a self rewarding
activity, a tendency to unite dissimilar things, a concern with
change and variety, an exploitation of familiarity vs. surprise.
A desire to convey meanings, and to indulge in fantasy.
Whatever
art is to you, it lies in your own mind. Not mine, not anyone
else's. You have to search for this on your own to find it.
When you find what inspires you as art, and believe me it exist,
keep your sinks open and search long these paths that are undiscovered.
Find the paths, and there still are some, filled with dust untouched
by human foot.
Open
your souls and search for spaces yet unraveled to the mind.
Don't be content to fallow someone else's path. Let them inspire,
let them direct, but don't be afraid of the unknown. Go to the
unknown and teach us all something new.
Things that are hidden and dark today could become a burning
touch for those who do not think that the boundaries are set
forever.
Pablo
Picaso said, "Every child is an artist. The only problem
is how to remain an artist once he grows up."
To
be a photographer, or artist we have to be inspired. It is a
necessity for an artist and therefore becomes essential to stay
inspired.
An
everyday routine can be very inspiring and something novel can
be totally uninspiring. It depends on whether or not the incident
has any impact on you. You have to ìfeelî to get
inspired, you have to mentally be there and allow your environment
to have an impact on you. It's not enough to merely reflect
life as a mirror, you have to interpret it.
When
the creative process has started an interchange between the
media and the artist occurs. You see how your work looks so
far and compares it to the idea in your mind. Then try to get
it closer to the mental version, or change your mental version
based on the new opportunities you have discovered while observing
the artwork in progress.
Being
in a state of inspiration is no guarantee for good artwork.
It's quite possible to have a wonderful feeling or concept in
your mind, and at the same time have no idea about how to convey
it to others through an art form. First you have to master the
general technical skills of the chosen art form. Then you have
to develop your own personal preferences, unique to oneself
and yet understandable by the receiver, the audience.
What
best describes an artist is the same thing which describes an
adventurer. The longing for something intense, grand, revolutionary,
new horizons with different natural laws.
